About us

The Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) supervises and regulates the institute’s postgraduate and research programs. It ensures the quality and Integrity of MS/MPhil and PhD research, approves thesis proposals, evaluates research progress, and upholds academic standards across all advanced studies

Functions of BASR

  • Review and approve research topics, proposals, and synopses for MS/MPhil , and PhD programs
  • Formulate and implement policies for postgraduate studies and research
  • Approve panel of evaluators and examiners for theses and dissertations
  • Oversee the evaluation and defense process for postgraduate research
  • Recommend the conferment of MS/MPhil , and PhD degrees upon fulfilment of academic requirements
  • Ensure originality and quality of research through plagiarism checks and standard evaluation criteria
  • Set and monitor policies regarding the publication of research papers for degree completion
  • Promote and facilitate interdisciplinary and collaborative research activities
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards in all research-related activities

BASR is committed to fostering a rigorous academic environment by ensuring the quality, originality, and ethical standards of MS/MPhil , and PhD programs.
